The first tournament of Champs Academies Year 3, out of four in total, marked the official kick-off of this year’s program, bringing together young athletes, families, and communities in a celebration of the game.
Held at the Sofia Befon Basketball Court in Palaio Faliro, the event turned into a vibrant basketball festival, where children had the opportunity to play, compete, and most importantly, enjoy the game. Through friendly matches, interactive challenges, and parallel activities, participants experienced the joy of sport in a fun and inclusive environment.
The day was filled with energy, featuring games, challenges, gifts, and medals that celebrated participation and effort, while also offering dedicated activities for parents, creating a shared experience for the whole family.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of Vasilis Xanthopoulos, Champs Ambassador, who spoke to both children and parents. Through his journey and insights, he shared valuable advice, inspiring the next generation to pursue their goals with discipline, passion, and resilience. As the first of four tournaments, this event set the tone for the journey ahead, one built on connection, growth, and meaningful experiences through sport.
